So for those of you who haven't been keeping tabs on Todd Seavey... Todd hosts a monthly debate in the basement of a bar on the lower east side of Manhattan. The debates are an eclectic mix of all sorts of topics including things like "Does Christian Music Suck?" and "Should We Deport all Illegal Aliens?" The debaters are all volunteers and the style is much what you would expect from intellectuals hanging out in a basement bar. Anyhow, Todd's most recent debate "Should Conservatives and Libertarians Vote for Barr Instead of McCain?" has topped them all. Apparently, part way through the debate, Bob Barr showed up! That may be the coolest thing I have ever heard that relates to the Libertarian Party. Kudos to Todd and the Jinx Society for making politics seem interesting again.
